Top 5 Safety Tips 4 Spring

4 Comments 09 April 2010

Here are my Top 5 Home Safety Tips for Spring Time – Keep Safe this Spring!

1.  Change your batteries in your smoke detectors.  I know you were supposed to do this with the time change, but you didn’t because you were tired from losing an hour of sleep.  Do it now!

2.  Get some quality safety glasses and work gloves and USE THEM!  It is time to start working in the yard again, get yourself some good quality personal protective equipment.  You need your eyes and you need to protect those baby soft hands from cuts. ;)

3.  Check your child’s bike, skateboard, scooter, trampoline, swing set, you get the idea.  Do a thorough check of your child’s “stuff” and make sure everything is in good working condition.

4.  Check your toys – the motorcycle, mower, weed eater, grill, etc.  Again, do a thorough check of your toys to make sure everything is in order.

5.  Go get a check out for yourself…and then go outside!  Enjoy walking or running in the park, playing in the yard with your children, and riding a bike.  Stay Safe and Healthy this spring by getting some fresh air and working off those winter pounds!

For all of you in the Northern Hemisphere enjoy the Spring!  For my friends in the Southern Hemisphere, I’m sorry but things are headed the other way for you!
