Does lunch count as the office of field? Seriously, I most enjoy the celebrations when a site reaches a milestone that it never thought possible. It is the best part of the job when you hand someone a piece of pizza or a steak at 3 AM.

On my current project (Construction GC) I’ve conducted over 4,400 orientations and done the majority of the training for my 120 employees. It is nice having the opportunity to train and shape the employee’s outlook on safety right from the time they step foot on my project and go through the orientation. But there is nothing like being in the field and seeing all the programs and training you done put to use. I’m going to vote Field just because I enjoy the interactions with the employees and seeing everything I’ve trained them on put to use.

Bill,

I truly enjoy training as well...as you can see I like to talk! I enjoy making people laugh. I enjoy seeing the light go off in someone's head when the really "get it". Thanks as always for your comments!

I asked one of our older employees what his favorite part of his job was. His reply, "my days off".
If my favorite part of the job was time off, I would find another job.
I like the interaction of training. I get to see everyone here and talk with them. I get instant feedback. I get to see reactions to new ideas. If you notice, all the aspects listed begin with "I get".
So, is that office or field? It is time spent with the troops but, it is a lot more time in preparation. I don't know.
